Well, in case you hadn't heard it, Trump wants what you'd call a "White America" immigration policy

He gave "Norway" as an example of the kind of place he wants immigration from.

Thought that might ring a few bells for some of you.

1. People from Norway don't want to come here.

They have a very nice, prosperous country where people have universal health care and free higher education, among other things. Why on earth would they want to come to a country where they don't have any of those things and whose president is Trump?

I was not arguing that Norwegians were chomping at the bet to move to the old 'OZ.

Most Norwegians are fine staying right there in Norway.

7. And our LNP federal government wants to take us back to the days of the White Australia policy.

Minister for Everything, Peter Dutton (aka Potatohead) and his minion, PM Turnbull, are currently engaging in racist profiling and dog-whistling against Muslims and more recently, African-Australians.

Australia was like this when I was growing up, but the White Australia Act was repealed in the 1960s, and we thought we'd entered the civilised world. But Dutton, Turnbull and their vile party are determined to take us backwards. They've recently devised a Citizenship Test that even university graduates would find it difficult to pass, and includes ludicrous questions on topics of the day that have no bearing at all on whether a person would make a good citizen or not.

Turnbull is Trump in a slightly better suit.
