Environment Canada issued a tornado warning for Edmonton, Devon, Woodbend, Stony Plain, Enoch, Leduc, Calmar, Beaumont and Kavanaugh.
Environment Canada says the thunderstorm is moving to the north at 40 kilometres an hour. The thunderstorm has the potential to produce a tornado, large hail, strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall.
They warn the system is dangerous and can be life-threatening.
