Massive police drug, gun raid includes site linked to alleged Rob Ford video...CP24 stunning words..

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/police-forces-target-guns-and-drugs-in-early-morning-raids-in-toronto-area/article12508196/

As I was listening to the live feed from CP24 something very interesting came out. They stated there was a high level inside source that suggested that the police had investigated the Rob Ford video weeks before it went public. They stated this source said these "accused" were speaking about the video and the police were investigating long before it went to the media...of course the video cannot be confirmed, but if this statement is true and the issue is pushed and exposed, it would have serious repercussions for both Blair and Ford.

Now, I have always had a strong sense that the Toronto Police are a little too loyal to Rob Ford, Ford has had money thrown at them on many occasions (the $18 million he demanded of McGuinty for "gang operations" rings a bell). How else can Blair get away with making very little, if any cuts to his budget, now ballooned to $1 Billion? Again, I am a strong supporter of the police in uniform, I have no use for undercovers who are essentially the economic engines for these agencies at the cost to the taxpayer. When I heard there were 30 police cruisers and a massive show of force in this area, the same building linked to the Ford video, my first suspicion was that this is related at some level to the video, it is far too convenient and coincidental for it not to be.

I have tried to give Ford the benefit of the doubt, but knowing quite well how the security apparatus works and how political and organizational gain trump other legitimate concerns, I have to suspend my disbelief and entertain more possibilities.

He's a bullying nitwit, a man made for the right wing.

He got elected by a fluke, and he's going to be an embarassment as long as he's in office.

There's been a few odds and ends that lead me to wonder how much more to this story there is.

-Anthony Smith (in photo with Ford) is shot.
-Ford video allegation and photo comes out.
-2 residents of the house where the photo taken assaulted by a guy with a pipe in home invasion.
-Someone is arrested in Alberta for shooting of Smith, details kept secret.
-Someone "jumps" from the upper floors of Dixon Rd projects, located behind the Ford-photo house. Uncharacteristically, that body leaves almost no blood on the pavement.
-Owners of the video "vanish" despite $200,000 for the taking.
-A blogger with US/Canadian citizenship, who claims to have a copy of the video, deletes his twitter account, and blog after claiming he was was threatened by the Canadian law enforcement establishment (No way of verifying if this guy was for real though)
-A second person "falls" from the same apartment in Alberta as the guy who was arrested.
-Now todays story.

This story is far from over, and/or well on its way to becoming Toronto urban folklore, and Ford's legacy.
