So, I thought "It's been a long time since I looked a map of Canada"

While I wasn't paying attention Nunavut (sp?) had emerged.

Well THAT -IS- embarrassing. Really. I meant no harm...

The largest part of Canada and I didn't know it's name had changed on the map.

So, I know from US history, that places like "The Northwest Territories" got subdivided several times and ended up being divided several times and ultimately into the states of the "Upper Midwest".

I am left feeling that I really must look at a map of Canada more than once every 20 years.

I guarantee you if I asked my parents they'd have no idea either. Some Canadians still haven't gotten that memo.

The other day I called it Iqaluit without thinking. My kids thought that was the funniest thing ever. oops my bad.
