I have a question. I was watching a CFL game on ESPN last night

and it occurred to me that the field is measured in yards. Is that right?
If so, is that about the only place in Canada where the old English measurements are used? Isn't everything else metric?
piqued my curiosity.

I haven't watched a CFL game in years, but I think it's measured in yards. Not sure why, but I would guess it's because of its origins in American football.

Canada got onto the metric system in the 70s, and the CFL is way older than that.

BTW, centre field is the 55 yard line.
