Conservative candidate brags about being the son of a Holocaust survivor

A Conservative candidate in Toronto is raising eyebrows with a campaign sign that notes he is "the son of a Holocaust survivor."

First elected in 2011, Mark Adler is running again in the riding of York Centre — once a Liberal stronghold.

According to the link. But he's certainly a piece of work. This passage from the article says so much about him (video available too, if you can stomach it):

But the Tory backbencher may be best known for a 2014 video that appeared to show him pleading to get in a photo with Stephen Harper at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

"It's the re-election!" Adler could be heard saying to Harper's aide. "This is the million-dollar shot!"

All 3 major candidates for the riding are Jewish and highlight this on their web pages: The NDP candidate mentions his parents and the Holocaust, and the Liberal candidate lists all his associations with Jewish causes and groups. The article says "more than 20%" of the voters there are Jewish. I can only assume either that's a modest estimate, or the other residents aren't considered worth pandering to.
