Kevin O'Leary pledges $1-million if Premier Notley steps down

Bring it on.

That was Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s reaction to outspoken financial pundit Kevin O’Leary’s offer to put $1 million into Canadian energy companies in exchange for Notley’s resignation.

In an interview with Toronto radio station Newstalk 1010 on Monday, the former Dragon’s Den host offered to invest $1 million in Canadian energy companies if Notley steps down “for the absolute good of Canada,” citing mounting job losses in Alberta.

“The last time a group of wealthy businessmen tried to tell Alberta voters how to vote, I ended up becoming premier,” quipped Notley on Tuesday, referencing the controversial pleading of five Edmonton CEOs to vote PC during the last election.

“Now we’ve got a Toronto wealthy businessman telling voters how to vote. I say bring it on.”

from each person willing to give $1 to shut that fucker up.

Poor Kevie didn't get enough attention from mommie and daddy as a wee lad, and now the rest of us must suffer. ugh. Every few months he has to open his pie hole and feed his narcissistic supply.

He knows enough about economics to know he's wrong. Which makes him a grade A asshole. But we all knew that.

his embarrassing (for the CBC) interview with Chris Hedges during Occupy was the final straw. Can't believe that conservative made money from our public teat, (that he hates so much).

Thank gawd I don't have to see him on there anymore.

I've said it here before and I'll say it again...there are not many public figures that I dislike, but I HATE Kevin O'Leary. His voice makes my ears bleed and his face makes me want to poke my eyes out with red hot pokers. I secretly think he's a demon put on earth to test me.

And I didn't like him much before I got my degree in accounting/business. Now I really don't like him. Because now I know how truly dumb he is.

He's the worst kind of vulture capitalist.

I remember watching... I think it was Shark Tank, not Dragon's Den. Had a guy on making racks for pickup truck beds. He was all excited because he was making the product locally, putting a bunch of people in his small community in gainful employ, and producing something useful that people want. He wanted some capital to expand his operations so he can hire more people. O'Leary just straight up said, "But you could get those made cheaper in China, and with shipping would still be a higher profit margin. So, I won't help you unless you eliminate your local hiring practice and bring your unit cost down." (I'm paraphrasing)

He'd sell his own family if he thought he'd make a decent ROI.
