Election results challenge to go ahead in Federal Court

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/07/19/pol-council-of-canadians-lawsuit.html#

"The Federal Court is letting a challenge proceed regarding the 2011 election results in seven ridings across the country.
A group of voters, backed by the Council of Canadians, wants the court to overturn the results because of allegations of misleading phone calls that attempted to send voters to the wrong polling stations. Overturning the results would mean a byelection in each riding."

"The seven Conservative MPs who won those seats had asked the court to dismiss the case before it went to a full hearing."

************************************

Ok ok, so its a super long shot, and now the burden of proof must back up the allegations, but the Conservatives certainly didn't want this to proceed. The number one ranked comment on the CBC site for this story provides some faint hope.

"These seven ridings + Etobicoke make 8
Add Lee Richardson's Calgary riding as he's leaving for Alberta provincial politics. 9
Add Oda's riding as she's retiring. 10
Add Vic Toews if he's appointed to the Manitoba bench. 11"

add to that, that it sounds as if Conservative Labrador MP Peter Penashue is under scrutiny for campaign fraud as well. Maybe we won't have to suffer until 2015.
