Vote Early, Vote Beaver

Question Time has a habit of shying away from discussing issues of a Welsh nature when in Wales, but considering the panel contained one elected AM and one Welsh MP, the issues surrounding Wales and the EU should have been brought more front and centre than they actually were. All credit must go to Plaid Cymru MP Liz Saville-Roberts here, who actually persevered with the idea that some issues affect Wales more than others, and tried to push these towards the spotlight. Neil Hamilton, conversely, choose to focus more on the wider UK picture.
Away from the pomp of Question Time, an altogether different story was brewing in the wilds of west Wales. Ceredigion Conservative candidate and Vote Leave campaigner Dr Felix Aubel, who has previously stated that witchcraft is well and truly alive in the hills of rural Carmarthenshire, came to be the face of a whole new campaign this week.
His discovery of a Vote Leave sign in Brongest, Ceredigion that had been altered to read Vote Beaver has brought national infamy to the UKs most pro-UK county. The story has been picked up by national media outlets including the Guardian, the Metro, and Cosmopolitan as well as a myriad of local news outlets. The campaign even has its own Twitter account (in case you were wondering, its @VoteBeaver).
