Merry Brexmas

It is all so depressing - I am resolved to ignore all of it for at least 48 hours......

1. I've just been to the local supermarket.....

.for an apocalyptic taste of what life will be life if we leave the EU with no agreement. People with trolleys full of stuff queueing the whole way round the store!

And that's just for Christmas.

2. Yep - I am heading to Waitrose in about an hour

People will be filing up the shopping trolley as it they have to flee London to survive - how the hell are they going to cope when the shelves are half full?

4. Probably a dumb question, but why can't they do a new vote?

It is acknowledged that the previous one was tampered with by hostile forces, and the majority now favors staying in the EU.

5. Because they all still treat the vote as totally legitimate

And both main parties are terrified of losing the OAP vote

To tell the truth, if politicians want to "respect the vote" then they should have started by preparing properly for triggering Article 50, undertaking due diligence, being brutally honest with the electorate and not wasting time on snap elections and fighting among themselves. It says something when Paddy Ashdown, who passed away yesterday is something of a giant compared to the current crop of idiots from Conservatives and Labour.

6. Actually, no-one here has tried to put a figure on any tampering

and it's just blamed on Aron Banks at most. It's not a big majority for staying in, and until it is, another referendum gives those in government just as many headaches, so they reject the idea.
