Lying Right Wing Harpy Redefining The Brexit Argument Now It Is All Turning To Shit.
We knew it was always going to happen... when they fucked it all up and the economy started to crater because of Brexit they would change their tune about the lies the told the people about what Brexit would do to thier jobs etc.
Andrea fucking Leadsom is the first but she will not be the last
Andrea Leadsom claims it was made 'very clear' that people could lose their jobs in a no-deal Brexit
During a conversation with ITV's Paul Brand, the 56-year-old is quizzed about her stance on a no-deal Brexit and is asked if she would be willing to go through with it if it came to that scenario.
"You have to be. In any negotiation, you have to be prepared to walk away" she says before Brand adds the caveat of whether she would go through with it even if it meant people would lose their jobs?
Nobody can ever guarantee that people will not lose their job. People lose their jobs and gain new jobs every single day of the week.
In the event of a no-deal Brexit, there will be winners and losers and there will be some short term disruption. I am not an advocate of no-deal.
The democracy of our nation is worth everything. The people took a decision and we have to deliver on that.
Brand responds to that statement by telling her that those who voted to leave didn't vote to lose their jobs, to which Leadsom responds by saying that facts such as that were stated in the build-up to the referendum.
All of that was made very, very clear. Don't forget that the government put out a leaflet to all households, saying that the NHS would have cuts, that pensioners would have cuts, that we would have half a million unemployed, so you can't tell me that people weren't told.
The democratic will of the people is to leave the European Union and I would not under any circumstances advocate either trying to make people change their minds, have a second referendum or revoke that decision.
Her quote comes just weeks after British Steel was put into compulsory liquidation and was named as one of the first major casualties of Brexit, with 4,000 jobs at risk.
