Though as the Sun once really did have a headline 'FREDDIE STARR ATE MY HAMSTER' it can be hard to tell the real from the fictional.

I hope that all the scandals mean that the Sun will soon finally set for good, but that may be overoptimistic.

Its just that I regard it as being hugely amusing.

I 've always thought it shame that the Sun never ran the one which Private Eye suggested in a spoof : Kill an Argie and win a Metro
