A friend sent this joke to me yesterday

A clueless American was visiting London one November and asked his tour guide, "Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in England?" His guide replied, "Yes, indeed we do, but we celebrate it on July 4th."

But maybe YOUR Thanksgiving should be July 4th.

I do remember that in 2000, I commented: 'It's a bit ironic that the Americans fought a Revolution to get away from a political system where only the rich could hold office, and the ruler was some idiot called George, who'd only got the job because his father had it before him.'

But now the tables are turned, and no doubt we are the laughing-stock, with Cameron et al.
