covering future resource exploitation in the area.

This should prohibit certain activities and carefully control others. Any large-scale oil extraction would be madness, taking the global environmental context into account.

Money would be better spent policing jointly those fisheries.

and I didn't think he had strong views on the Falklands (or probably on anything).

At any rate, I think that the Falklands should remain British as that's what the islanders want - or at least not to be Argentinian - but there should be negotiations between the UK and Argentina about resource handling, as others have suggested.

You could link to the thread where where we thrashed it all out, to show the level of support.

I know "Ask the administrators" can be Tumbleweed City quite often, but it's where I've seen others ask about setting up groups etc., so it might spur a quicker response.
