A recent poll by PPP shows that MN voters did not want Franken to resign from the US Senate 50-42.

Franken can get back into the US Senate 2 ways.
1)Challenge Tina Smith in Democratic Primary for Franken"s old US Senate seat in 2020.
2)Hope for Klobuchar to be on the 2020 Democratic Presidential/Vice Presidential Ticket win the electoral college vote. The Democratic Governor of MN appoints Franken to Klobuchar" old US Senate seat in 2021.

He is one of the greatest Americans to ever serve in our government ever.

BUT, if he does end up resigning as it seems he will, I say lets do what HE says to do, and what he will say to do is to support

ANY DEMOCRAT on the ticket in November.

Gillibrand and Schumer saw a chance to knock him out of the running or at least do a little damage.

Nobody wants Schumer to run for president. He has too much baggage and too many ties to Wall St. But I would be so like Schumer to back Gillibrand as an electable option that protects his Wall St friends. The fact that he immediately jumped on the resign bandwagon bears this out. Schumer has always been very protective of Wall St and, in the past, any progressive plan to deal with Wall St would have been stalled or slow walked. That'a why I don't trust Schumer.

So I expect Al to do everything in his power to get ANY democrat elected ANYWHERE anytime! Whether he runs again as one, who knows. I would love him as president.
