My theory on Mitt

Have you ever seen the Producers by Mel Brooks?

I don't know if anyone has postulated this theory yet, but there are a couple of things that come together and point my thinking in this direction.

1) There has been over a BILLION dollars pledged to Romney's campaign. The Koch Brothers put up $400 million, Sheldon Adelson another $100 million; there are plenty of people pledging $10 million or more.

2) He isn't running the ads or having near as many rallies he needs to in battleground states. (See the bus stop with where 17 people showed up. The meeting wasn't scheduled in a hotel ballroom, town hall, even a school cafeteria. It was on the side of the road.) The ones he does hold aren't very well funded or organized unless they are fund raisers.

3) There are SO many gaffs. At this point, it has to be that he's doing what he can to dissuade people from voting for him. I can't remember any presidential candidate in my life time that has worked SO hard to drive SO many people away. From the tax returns to "corporations are people" to "I like firing people" to "47% of the US are lazy moochers"... the list goes on and on.

So, here's my theory (You're welcome to read it in Nathan Lane's voice if it helps)
1) He collects the money.
2) He spends as LITTLE as possible while holding the worst campaign ever, but is kept alive by news organizations who know it's only a story if it's a close race.
3) He puts on a sure fire flop at the polls
4) He can't legally use the money for personal expenses, but he can funnel the money into a Super PAC where all spending is discretionary (which allows him to do anything he wants to with the money).
5) He and his money head to Rio, where he's safely out of reach / Obama's in the White House, Mitt's banging Ula on the beach!

Thoughts?

Just the interest alone off that is over $1 million per month.

And he's already 65, it's not like he can spend what he already has.

Nope, he wants to be president but I think it's a combination of factors -

1) his religion. Try living in a mormon-centric area sometime.

2) insulated from "normal" life for decades.

3) the White Horse prophecy

4) subconscious guilt from plundering so many lives. In fact, I think this may be a primary factor in his behavior. Remember, up until 2008, everybody could still believe in the fantasy that they were "investors", until it all fell apart. Romney is a prime criminal in what happened and he may be trying to fix it, in his own sad, pathetic and delusional way.

Willard M. Romney, being a member of a doomsday cult, may have plans to take it with him in The End.
