2018 and 2020 US Senate Election cycle could be similar to 2006 and 2008 US Senate Election cycle.

2006- Democrats regained control of the US Senate ending up with a 51-49 majority.
2008- Democrats picked up 8 seats AK,CO,MN,NH,NM,NC,OR,and VA ending up with a 59-41 majority. 2009/2010 Specter-PA became a Democrat, Brown-R won in MA.
2018- Democrats will regain control of the US Senate ending up with a 51-49 to 53-47 majority depending on what happens in TN and TX.
2020- Democrats pick up AZ special,CO,GA,IA,ME,NC,and TX if Cruz-R loses in 2018 and Castro-D runs in 2020.

I hope you are correct on the Senate. We could then shut down every one of Donnie’s nominations.

What is your assessment on the House in 2018 ?

2. 6-year cycles. 2018 is 12 years after 2006. What happened in 2012 and 2014?


2006 was in mid of second term of unpopular President.

2008 was just after big crash and in middle of attempts to avoid it become a Depression.
