If MD Gov. Hogan-R were to run for the US Sen. after he leaves the MD Gov. in 2022.
Which MD US Sen. seat does Hogan-R run for?
2022 against Van Hollen-D?
2024 for the OPEN seat vacated by Cardin-D? Democratic nominee will either be John Sarbanes or Anthony Brown.
Hogan is likely to lose in both seats. In 2022- he is running against a high profile well respected Democratic incumbent. In 2024- he is running in a Presidential Election year. The 2024 Democratic Presidential nominee is favored to carry MD by a landslide margin.
