In the 2000 US Senate Election, Democrats lost 2 Democratic held seats (NV- OPEN Bryan-D and VA-:Robb-D) and picked up DE(Roth-R), FL(OPEN Mack-R), MI(Abraham-R), MN(Grams-R), MO(Ashcroft-R), and WA(Gorton-R). D +4
In the 2008 US Senate Election, Democrats picked up AK(Stevens-R), CO(OPEN Allard-R), MN(Coleman-R),NH(Sununu-R), NM(OPEN Domenici-R), NC(Dole-R), OR(Smith-R), and VA(OPEN Warner-R) D +8

AL(Jones-D) is the only Democratic held US Senate seat up for re-election in 2020 that could flip to the Republicans assuming Republicans nominate the anti Roy Moore candidate.
