Is Rocky Anderson for real or did the Republican party put him up to running for president?
How did he do as mayor of Salt Lake?

This sounds good also, at least a progressive track record.

(66 posts)Will he take needed votes from Obama to defeat Republicans or will Obama take from him?

(23,980 posts)didn't (besides Nader almost certainly costing Gore the election) - and they were more well-known than Anderson.
I don't see many people flocking to the little-known Anderson outside of Utah, which will be blood-red anyway.
Plus, the few progressives who are disappointed in Obama will likely still want to vote for him so as to block Romney, Gingrich, or whomever from getting into the White House.

His policies are almost exactly the same as the shhh grn party. That's only the first thing I don't like about his campaign. The second thing is his, "I'm all of a sudden not a Democrat", gimmick. Third thing being the party name. Fourth, and most importantly the party is gaining attention at a presidential level, when we desperately need an overhaul of congress. Given Stein has a much more developed infrastructure, under a great new expanded GPUS platform. I don't understand why anyone would vote Anderson over Stein.
But again, congress being a more pressing issue, at least the Justice Party has a good candidate running for Senate (the grn party have plenty), Daniel Geery for Utah. If the Justice Party maintains the ability to inspire progressive individuals to run for congressional positions, then I'll most likely develop a desire to support this party more actively.
