A Wonderful Idea From William Rivers Pitt

In a season as bizarre as this has been, the fact that I found myself having a grudging respect for Ted Cruz is certainly the strangest part of all. Make no mistake: I consider Cruz dropping out of the presidential race to be the equivalent of an extinction-level-event meteor narrowly missing the planet. Trump is genuinely dangerous, but he is at the end of the day a carnival barker with a flat head. He is a certain menace, but Cruz means what he says, and his gift for rhetoric could have delivered us into a new Dark Age. Trump is ridiculous, but Cruz is a truly frightening Dominionist demagogue who has no business even looking at the White House, much less residing in it. He is not a monster, but he would become one if given the chance.

This campaign has been beyond weird. I remember folks saying it couldn't be worse than the 2012 goatfuckfest with Romney finally emerging like a slug. And then this happened. Anybody remember Scott Walker? And Carly came back for almost a whole week? Que WTF? And it wouldn't have been possible without our fawning corporate media who gladly reported on the monkey fucking a football story endlessly. And the scariest part of bigly Drumpf? I hear a lot of folks who are so fed up with the good folks of our country that they say - Fuck it - we probably deserve the Donald. Unfrigginbuhleevable!!!

Republican candidate. I hope not, but we shall see.

The Republican establishment is not pro-Trump. They hate Cruz too, but we shall see.

This reminds me of something I've read on FB today (paraphrasing): "Trump could paint the White House gold."

Wouldn't surprise me, and plastic pink flamingos, tons of them everywhere.
