Ad problem in Firefox

For the last month, in most every page I open in Firefox, certain words are highlighted similar to links, but in a different color-usually orange. Also, the "link" is double underscored. When I mouse over, I get a link to an ad containing that word. I don't have this in IE or Opera. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Some sites have those annoying mouse-over ads, but it should not be on most every page you visit. Sounds like something bad is lurking in the closet.
