Curious problem with computer fan

I already know nothing is touching my fans, because I've thoroughly inspected my case. There are NO wires or cables anywhere near my fans.

When I start up my box, sometimes I hear a rattle emanating from the fan area. After the fan/computer warms up a bit, it goes away completely. My box is not overheating whatsoever.

Could a bearing be bad ? Could the fan be getting clogged with dust ? Thanks once again.

I generally swap out the processor fan. They're pretty cheap. But if ya pull it off it may jus need a good dusting with a can of air.

You need to figure out which fan and replace it. In my experience most of the fans that died were either case fans or power supply fans. I think I've only seen 2 or 3 cpu fans go out.
Power supply fans are the worst at replacing, most have a nonstandard connector compared to other fans and they're a pain to replace.

As it speeds up and presses back in the sleeve it doesn't drag anymore.

I agree with replacing it, though. Fans are cheap enough that it's better to go ahead and replace one for almost any reason than to risk letting one burn out and take something expensive with it.
