Opinions on lenses

I'm getting ready to buy a zoom lens. The choices are the Nikon 18-200 and the Nikon 55-200.

I'm thinking the 18-200 would be the better choice so that I don't have to change lenses while I'm out. I have an 18-55 and a nifty fifty.

Does anyone have experience with either lens?

2. I used the 18-200 on my Nikon D300 for 5 years and took GREAT photos with it.

The best part was, as you say, not having to change lenses.

When I moved to the full frame format D800, I had to get an FX lens and sold the old camera and lens to a friend. Great lens in my less-than-expert opinion.

And yes, I would post this in the Photography forum.
