Anyone else notice that the new motherboards don't beep on P.O.S.T.?

you'll get a beep code if errors found but not a single beep telling passed.
Threw me off on the last couple of builds I made.

1. That feature is usually turned off by default.

It can be turned on, but boot time would increase.

I had to fix my mom's and it ended up being a bad video card. I spent about two hours fiddling with it because I thought it wasn't booting at all.

Mine is a pretty new one and it does beep on P.O.S.T. by default.

and some require you to install one. No speaker, no beep.

No beep unless fault found. Tried 4 different speakers and got nothing. Took out the RAM and 3 beeps.
