Some of them are very persistent. You may have to do it 2 or 3 times. keithbvadu2 Sep 2018 #9

Shut off internet connection. Empty all browsing history and clear out all cookies. Check your extensions for something out of place and ditch it. Shut down and restart

Had something similar. Do not call the number at all.

Run whatever cleaner programs you have. The problem starts when you call the number and they tell you they need to have remote control of your computer and you give it to them.

To end this message, push control-alt-del, then Task Manager. Then find your browser (Mine is Edge) in the list, and click on "End Task." you might have multiple listings of your browser, and it is best to close them all.

It is trying to infect you with malware, and have you call a bogus number and then they will tell you that you need to type is stuff (the run command and a command.) Then they will take over your machine. DONT EVEN CALL THEM!

Or reboot/restart once you get rid of the page/notice.

after I told her to not click on shit of course... . Shut down computer. Went to downloads folder, found the file and trashed. Empty trash. Restart. All is better. Kind of a lame attempt. Started with some weird shit on a PNC Bank password reset link that seemed sketchy...
