I'm freaking a little -- can't find 910 HP ink for my new HP printer.

Right in the middle of an important project that requires hi res scans of documents.

My original ink cartridge is low on blue tonight.
I can't order it from amazon. "Unavailable" from HP on amazon.

Any ideas?

that will be compatible with the original hp cartdriges.

edit :
search for hp 910 ink generic .
you will find plenty of suppliers to order from.

the printer does not know you put in a new one. At least that is how it works when you refill your old HP cartridges. You have to replace a spent one with a filled one really fast. There is software that talks from the cartridge to the printer.

But I will call my local Kroger super store tomorrow.

I assumed I would be able to get it overnight via amazon. I got the black cartridge that way a week ago.

It looks like Walmart and Staples have them in stock. Also store.hp.com.

But It seems that everyone working from home has disrupted the usual supply chain for printers.

Something you might want to consider -- do you really need a color inkjet printer/scanner? The low cost black & white laser printers are really good and the results look a lot better than inkjets (assuming you just need black & white). Color inkjet printers were always a hassle for me and I never really liked the color quality anyway.

Just a suggestion, obviously you might need color

Yeah, I do need color high resolution scans of documents for this project.

It kinda frosts me that HP would sell a printer for which ink is not available. I've only had it a couple of months.

I had trouble getting new ink a month or so ago, finally found it direct from manufacturer (mine was canon) came faster and a hair cheaper than the place I was ordering from for years. yes I am a paranoid weirdo that only uses OEM ink.

at one's local store. But I'm not sure if they include local inventory (and therefore immediate availability relevance) for one's local store the way Home Depot or various other businesses do.

Same thing happened to us with a different set of HP cartridges: I had them refilled at Costco (couldn't get new ones there) and then got an additional set of highly rated generics from Amazon as a future back-up.

Worst case, just send your print jobs to any printing facility (Office Depot or even smaller companies) via email or an upload and pick it up.

People working from home and kids doing online school have really played havoc with office supplies. Just as the pandemic began, I ordered a huge amount of paper and laser printer refills, thinking it would be wise to stock up. When schools were starting back in August, I was looking for supplies and equipment, and it was very difficult to find in stock items and at reasonable prices.

Costco is across the metro area from me, on the other outskirts of the city. Just not going to happen.

I'm thinking of taking the documents that I need scanned to UPS for them to scan and print. I can print black and white pages here. Just can't print something that is colors.

Yeah, I saw four-color cartridges on eBay at scalper prices. !!

Otherwise, I love this printer except that I didn't think to make sure it had a port for memory card. It doesn't.

I just ordered an extra black cartridge from amazon even though I don't need it yet. Maybe I'll change that to two.

But the blue and the combos are just not available except for scalping prices on eBay.

I don't print a lot, usually. I just do have this one project currently that must be done by Thurs morning. Most of the pages are just black. Just four require color.

I'm also going to check with my local library to see if they are still offering patrons the copier and printer use.

Good luck!

It's my regular market. I'm there at least once a week.

They wouldn't hold the cartridges for me on the phone, but I went this morning and bought one and a spare. That was all they had. It was a miracle.
