Inundated with Facebook pages, help if possible.

About a month ago, I was all over Facebook looking for cat food. All stores sold out near me with no hope of restocking soon. I have a fussy old cat who will eat only one flavor/one brand. I traveled all over the grocery stores in my area..no luck. Checked on line, starting with Chewy. "Not available". I kept looking, must have checked 20 sources, including eBay.
No luck.
I had about 15 cans on hand and was worried about future availability.
I must have clicked on some site that sold my name. I try to be careful and am a simple computer user. Never seen anything like this:

For the past 2 weeks, I have had..not kidding...several hundred sites appear on my page. I can't stand it. I hit "hide post" but that is useless. Is there a simple way to block these pages so I can get back to normal or am I stuck?
Thank heaven there is no porn but I bet I have heard or seen every Elvis, Johnny Cash, travel post etc from all over the world.
How --or can I-- block these pages or do I have to close my Facebook account and open under a new..maybe abbreviated name to get rid of this junk.

I have deliberately kept my friend list small and am careful not to click on ads. Finally, Chewy had the food available and I ordered 3 cases. All set for now. Cat is fine, I'm a basket case. Help if you can.
Thanks, PR

On the drop down menu for hiding the post, there should be the name of who/where it[s originally from. Clicking that choice gets rid of it forever.

Now I need to know what cat food your Kitty eats in case I see it somewhere.

She is a shelter kitty that I adopted in 2010. The shelter had no idea how old she was. Why she is such a fussy eater is beyond me.
She eats only Fancy Feast Medleys Shredded Chicken with Garden Greens in a Savory Broth.

The Vet has told me to stop giving her "Beyond Simply Grain Free White Meat Chicken & Egg" dry food as a snack.
I talked to Purina and was told that this flavor of Beyond was discontinued. Yes, there is a problem according to the agent to whom I spoke. Kitty is not happy about "no snacks".

Thanks to Chewy, I now have a supply of 3 cases(72 cans) and hope this shortage of cat food passes quickly. The shelves at the grocery stores are empty of this product and others. It is the green can, not the white one. Other flavors of this green can are empty also.

I imagine most of us can find substitutes for our favorite things but a cat that will only eat one thing presents problems.

According to others to whom I spoke at the grocery stores, there are many cat foods that are not on the shelves.
In my mind, this is a strange shortage.

From the three-dots menu on a post, there should be an "Unfollow [Group Name]" option.

Like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O3UjYw8FZ_JOq6sHtf9jHCUmdi-8y7hM/view?usp=sharing (I guess I can't add an image to a post. I don't post here very often.)

Also, I don't know what browser you use, but I highly recommend installing the uBlock Origin add-on/extension. It won't block all ads on Facebook, but it will make your overall web experience much better (and safer.)

Give the cat a pat for me.

This is a free extension that blocks most ads from the right side of your Facebook page. Other posters gave you good advice about getting rid of ads in your newsfeed. But this extension might be helpful to you and others. I like this because the only thing on the right side of my fb page are my contacts who are active, and on my left, the groups and pages I use. You can download this extension at: www.fbpurity.com

I've been using it for almost 10 years.
