But the "30TB" disk does at least try to fool users in clever ways.

It feels like high-capacity SSDs are getting cheaper all the time, but in the words of a security researcher known as Ray Redacted on Twitter, there are still some deals that are too good to be true. In the spirit of discovery, he bought a "30TB" external SSD from AliExpress for $31.40, which also happens to be listed on Walmart's website for $39 (I am linking it for educational and entertainment value, please do not buy it).

Main Street out of business with their "Buy American" program. They put the Mom and Pop's across the country out of business, and I'm pretty sure Walmart buys upwards of 90% of their inventory from china or another foreign country now. I can appreciate that Walmart is doing the right thing where a women's right to choose is concerned, but I will not be shopping at Walmart.
Ever.

and buying from reliable sellers at a price point that at least makes sense for a REAL storage device of that size.

Nice glue skills. Wonder who’s assembling these beauties?

Probably kids in a sweatshop somewhere.

While not certain, I doubt the brick stores would actually sell these.

The website allows other vendors--as Amazon does too--to sell on the website.

So, always check who the actual vendor/seller is.
