Anyone using MacMail?

I am using it as POP (?) with my Comcast Internet provider.

All of a sudden I am not getting a regular alert about a monthly utility bill that I have been getting for 10 years.

The utility thinks that their email is being diverted into a junk mail folder. I don't have a junk mail folder in my system. Not that I am aware of it.

I asked Comcast but they said that since this is Mac Mail I have to ask Apple. I went to my preferences and saw that there is a whole section about junk mail so I unchecked the "enable junk mail filtering." Never knew I had it.

Now will have to wait.

Any other suggestions here?

Thanks

Email addresses within your "Contacts" are usually protected against being cast as "Junk Mail."

On occasions I do get notice from other utility companies to add them to my contact and never understood why.

displayed. I don't know why yours isn't displaying.

If you want to "de-junk" a message, click on it, and go up to the menu bar to click on Not Junk.

By the way, Comcast has been known to bounce mail it thinks is junk without informing the user. That is why I now use Comcast only for shopping and contributing to politicians. All my "real" messages go to my G-Mail account.

For a while - several years back - I was getting junk on a regular basis, many from Dr. Oz and insurance and, of course, matching sites. I kept them so that I would know when they finally stopped.

For a while I would forward them to comcast with the expanded header - and one could see that they all originated from the same place but then Comcast want them to be attached.

Time to empty this folder and see what happens. Mine is 4.6 for what its matter.

I think that when I first got this computer and installed the MacMail the automatic folders were inbox, sent and trash.

I have three personal email accounts I use Mail with, my primary Yahoo account along with my Google and iCloud accounts. Never had any problems with these accounts and Mail. I also have Outlook on my MacBook - I got Office 2016 for Mac through my work's home use program but am not really using it right now - when I go back to school this fall I'm going to put my school account on Outlook.
