"If they can make it, maybe I can make it."

Thank you VP Biden and Dr Jill Biden

The Vice President and Dr. Biden talk about their visit with children and their military mentors participating in the USO/TAPS Good Grief Campout at Camp Pendleton, a U.S. Marine Corps Base in Southern California. TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) is a national non-profit organization that is made up of, and provides services to, those who have lost a loved one on active duty with the Armed Forces. @TAPS4America

Listen to it here. It's only two minutes, it's amazing.

about the mentors, she.

VP Biden and Dr Jill are such special people.. we have the best Prez and VP, Ever!
Mahalo, she!

One of the places I lived in California back in the 70s and 80s was close to Oceanside, CA, in Carlsbad.. late 80s. In the 70s we went to visit my cousin who was stationed at Camp Pendleton.

What the Bidens are doing is so important for our Troops and their Families.

On Sunday, TAPS welcomed 15 U.S. children of fallen service members, for a special Good Grief Camp with 44 children from the IDF Widows & Orphans Organization (Israel Defense Forces Widows and Orphans Organization). The American and Israeli tweens and teens attending the camp in Washington, D.C., bonded quickly over their shared experiences. They created handprints for a memorial wreath that they placed yesterday at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery .

Thankful Thursday: TAPS is thankful for the support of the The Army Marathon! TAPS was selected as a beneficiary of this inaugural event, and we are so grateful! We look forward to many more successful years as a partner of this growing event. Thank you Army Marathon!

Thank you as well to Kreutz Photography for the photo.
