to think either McCain or Romney would have been one whit better.

I do find it ironic that the Clown Congress of raving bigots is our best hope to avoid more disasters in the Middle East.

Not when a significant vocal group says he is arming AQ fronted by Saudi Arabia deliberately. Not good enough.

little time. Lots of bloggers and politicians getting in on this gravy train.

And, the media and so many are making this about a "failure"-"asswhooping" for Obama. They wish.

Thank Goodness we got him! PBO is able to have a vision of the whole picture and put plans into motion that he thinks will yield results that aren't always apparent on the face of things. I think this is one of those times.

I think what makes President Obama exceptional is he clearly believes that the POTUS job is bigger than him (the man), as he seems to realize (unlike everyone posting they wisdom on anonymous message boards everywhere) ... he doesn't get to walk away from bad decisions that have effects ... tomorrow.

I don't get any sense of selfishness or egomania from the President.

He really is trying to do the right thing for others and for the future.

We are so lucky a man of his strength and character is in charge. Of course that means all the many who have no character and no strength are nipping at his heels every minute - both people in high positions of power and the drip-snotty little heavy breathing keyboard warriors.

that have worked directly with President Obama or knew him throughout his student years and/or career. To a person, they have stated that President Obama is remarkably egoless ... he certainly holds opinions, has values and such; but they indicate, none of them appear to be ego-driven. Rather, he seems to have the ability to get the most out of those around him to arrive at the "best" solution to the issue at hand.

Yes ... we are fortunate to have this man, at this time, at the helm.

Once fancied myself a bit of an artist (no longer) and still tend to see the world through a certain lens. I pay close attention to faces; always have.

My head spins over the situation. I despised the Bushes (well, along with every other GOP prez since Eisenhower) with every fibre of my being, and even I didn't treat them as badly as President Obama's opponents have done him. Anybody who's worse than me is bad off indeed.

Did I ever tell you about my own favorite picture of President Obama? It was on a tee shirt site, probably Zazzle, and it was just a drawing. But it showed him ripping apart a confederate flag, and the caption read "NEXT TIME PICK YOUR OWN DAMNED COTTON!"

I went to Zazzle - now it has somewhere over 2K Obama-related tees, so unearthing my old bookmarks list is about my only hope.

While googling for that particular t-shirt, I realized the caption is a pretty common term in some circles. Even the neo-confederates claim "Next time we'll pick our own damn cotton." Yeah, right.

Anyway, point being it looks to me as if it the expression couldn't be copyrighted and the bleepin' flag sure isn't, so I had a few ideas for making your own, depending on your mood: Either a ripped or better yet, burning confederate flag. Captions could range from "Don't want a black man in your White House? Next time..." or "Pissed off a black man got elected president? Next time..." My favorite would be: "Lincoln could've told you it would end like this. Next time..."

I also like the idea of a depiction of Jeff Davis or Lee lying on his back, x's on his eyes, legs straight up like one of those old 'dead roach' poses. Along with the burning/ripped flag, of course.

Those are just ideas for starting points. Give your imagination free rein. And make sure your insurance is up to date just in case. But I'll bet you've got the backbone to do it.
