‘My Heart And Soul Are Pretty Well Banged Up’

VP Biden:

“We’re dealing at home with … whether or not there is the emotional fuel at this time to run. If I were to announce to run, I have to be able to commit to all of you that I would be able to give it my whole heart and my whole soul, and right now, both are pretty well banged up.”

“I’m not trying to skirt your question. That’s the truth of the matter, but believe me, I’ve given this a lot of thought and dealing internally with the family on how we do this.”

There is raw emotion in both these images.

RIP Beau Biden and may the hearts of those that loved you heal.

Leave the man and his family alone in their grief. He lost his son, a man, yet it was his child. Beau was his baby boy.

Tears.

. . .and I just don't think Biden has the stomach for it anymore. Not after 2 terms as VP and personal family tragedy.

to not run, he won't go far away. We know that he will continue to be a source of experience, wisdom, and strength for the eventual nominee and next president. His decision, either way, won't change the reality that he has already gained our respect, affection, and gratitude.

Yes it does. I am no longer religious, yet in my own way feel that we are blessed to have had them all these years.

Two good men, they have done the best they could in our hellish times. They have been so disrespected, yet continue to serve with grace and honor.

Love you brer cat.

but for his own well-being I hope he does not run. Running for president is a brutal affair - he does not need that.

I don't like the idea of all that knowledge and wisdom going to waste. Plus Austan Goolsbee says Biden will go after the banks. And I think Americans are more likely to vote to give Biden the Congress he needs. Bernie may get a Congress to balance his more radical stance.

Okay, I'm in tears, but both of these excellent men are worthy of our tears. I can only hope our nation is worthy of these fine men who have given their hearts and souls to make it better.

Blessings to you.

From the Obama Diary that chose it DMM. She use to be a BOGer here. She was run off the board for supporting Obama. She was known as Jackeens here.

The Obama Diary.

It's okay she left this place, she rocks where she is. She just went through a milestone of viewer hits, I can't remember the number.

Someone linked her journal to me, it was great. She was before my time here, mcar.

I love Joe Biden. I think he's been an amazing statesman who has dealt with unimaginable personal loss.

I want him to enjoy a long, happy retirement.
