The Iran deal (Obama Group)

This President gives peace a chance and he gets nothing but a load of shit for it. That really pisses me off. I am so sick of this country dropping bombs on people to "solve" problems. I am so glad this President has taken a different approach.

I mainly voted for Obama because he was the "peace candidate" who would end that horrible war in Iraq. Well, he did it, later than I liked, but he did it.

I know this is an old topic by now but it was the subject of conversation when I went out after work. My friends and I all all agreed that this Iran nuke deal is a good thing. The other path is war, and that won't work. I thank Christ, Buddha, Allah, Goddess and everyone else that Barack Obama is our President.

constantly think they need to bash President Obama. The president has made big attempts to bring peace in the world, the Iran Deal is a big step to get some control in Iran, it isn't only the USA in this deal it is other nations. The GOP would like to hold this up until they possibly have a GOP president, just like the case of holding the hostages in Iran until Reagan was president, shameful lives are used as bargaining in presidential campaigns.

What a hateful and heartless person he was. I was in college during his administration and I despised his policies. That the GOP still has this very nasty old man on a pedestal speaks VOLUMES about them!

Mea culpa: I'm going to disagree somewhat. We had to evacuate the building several times owing to bomb threats after the Kent State shootings in 1970. Reagan sent the Natl Guard to the campus after the Vietnam war escalation. He did that and other things that harmed the social fabric of CA. (It was Prop 13 that hurt CA beyond meausre). HE SIGNED LEGISLATION STRENGTHENING UNIONS. But as much as I disliked Reagan as governor, I voted for him twice for president in part because he helped the union movement in CA. Long story short, i was very mistaken.

I'd no idea that he was controlled by ideologues. But those that followed him were worse. Reagan pulled Marines out of Lebanon. It was Cheney and Rumsfeld who promoted war in the Middle East. I suspect his Alzheimer's made it easy for them, along with Papa Bush, to promote war. Clinton tried to avoid war. Obama is working with the world to take us off this decades long war path.

I volunteered to help elect Obama in 2008. Watching the rise of the Tea Party owing to blatant lies about Obama's goals has been truly sickening. All the more reason to appreciate him and his family for fighting for us and not send the few to give their lives for the wars and the war chest of Chickenhawks Inc.

You voted your convictions at the time. which we all should do.

Very glad you stand for peace and supported President Obama. I volunteered, also. So did my daughter. And, yes, the Tea Party BS is stomach-churning misinformation.

so well funded. We will eventually change how campaigns are financed. I just wanted to weigh in to say how proud of and grateful I am to Obama for the Iran deal.
