Re: Ma. convention

i want to tell you all about an amazing aspect of the Massachusetts Democratic Convention at which we made history in our nearly-unanimous endorsement of Elizabeth Warren for the United States Senate:

Not only was President Barack Obama fervently endorsed by every political leader and candidate who spoke (except for marisa defranco, who lost her senate bid in receiving just 4.3% of the vote), but the acclaim of the thousands of delegates and guests rose or fell in direct proportion to each speaker's fervor. every one of them spoke with deep feeling for him and the imperative of working for his next term, and received rousing cheers from us all!

even more :

from a media that has relentlessly, unethically, and nauseatingly promoted brown, thanks to his wife, gail huff (good thread on this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1057355 ) being a Boston, then D.C., ABC news anchor-person (not to mention this state's incomprehensible - for a liberal bastion - weakness for men with full heads of hair, and its only recently becoming capable of surmounting its historical misogyny regarding congress), we heard, yesterday, that Elizabeth Warren's ardent and cogent endorsement of President Obama can now be expected to draw this state's strong support for our President to Ms. Warren as well!

good, ah?

I just read her remarks.

I love this - "We need a senator who will stand up for hard-working people, who won't sell out to Wall Street, who will fight for our future."

And this - "We stand for women, equal pay and access to birth control - boy I never thought I'd need to say that in 2012." (Awesome!)

And, of course, this - "We stand with President Obama."

I, too, can't wait until she is sworn in!

Rock on, Julie. Peace!
