Separating the tax increases from the sequestering

It will still take time to digest the details and I wish I had more time to do so, but it appears that by separating out the tax question and tying further spending cuts to additional revenues the President is going to make it very painful for the Republicans and substantially undercut their basic foundation.

After all the only really popular thing that Republicans had was cutting taxes.

Now that is off the table they will have to get specific about what they want to cut.

As the President is going to tie that to future ADDITIONAL revenues he will completely outflank them on the "budget/deficit stewardship issue".

I think that there is a very good reason that Bernie voted for it and Cantor is having a meltdown.

Trickle down, Job creators, blah blah blah! They have done this for so long that I truly believe that they do not have another idea in their empty heads!

Not just Cantor...they have crashed, all of them. They are on the verge of a total melt down!

They are a party that is disarray. They are a party that has lost their immortal souls!

Indeed, by isolating the spending cuts, President Obama and the Democratic Leadership (yes, they deserve CAPS!) can now focus on the R sacred cows as the R's try to attack earned benefits. I love the way true statesmen and stateswomen can work a situation.
