Declassified CIA document claims Hitler was in Colombia after World War II

Former Nazi German dictator Adolf Hitler survived World War II and resided in Colombia for several months in 1954, according to a recently declassified CIA document.

The declassified United States intelligence memo, released as part of a series of files on the murder of former President John F. Kennedy had a photograph attached showing an “Adolf Schüttelmayer” in Tunja, a city in the Boyacá department of the South American country.

The memo, which was marked “secret,” was wired from the head of CIA’s bureau in Caracas, Venezuela, on October 3, 1955, and claimed that Hitler was alive and well. Allied armed forces said in 1945 Hitler had taken his own life to avoid capture in Berlin.

One of the documents in the file is a letter sent to Washington by CIA agent David Brixnor in which he writes that Hitler is alive and was seen talking to a former German SS trooper named Phillip Citroën who was believed to be in contact with the former dictator once a month in Colombia.

In the declassified memo, a photo is attached, showing an “Adolf Schüttelmayer” seated next to a companion.

“The person on the left is alleged to be CITROEN and the person on the right is undoubtedly the person which CITROEN claims is HITLER. The back side of the photograph contained the following data: ‘Adolf Schüttelmayer, Tunja, Colombia, 1954?,” read the document.

To be fair, it seems to be the opinion of a CIA agent in Colombia at the time (David Brixnor) sandensea Oct 2017 #7

so he's in hiding from the entire world but keeps the very distinctive mustache?

Which is why I posted this under Weird News.

My guess is that this Schüttelmayer was one of his body doubles.

His demeanor is all wrong, too. Hitler - even when jovial - exuded psychopathic issues in all his photos, whereas this Schüttelmayer frankly does not.

it's possible that Hitler had a body double that he used for certain occasions where he didn't want to appear in public. In the end, he could have had that person shot and possibly escaped.

OTOH, the person in the photo could have just been someone who looked like Hitler posing as him.

This Schüttelmayer guy must have been one of his body doubles - and it's common knowledge Hitler employed several.

The fact that it convinced this CIA agent at the time, David Brixnor, that it was the dictator himself makes it worth a second look - but probably not much more than that.

Did he die in 1945? Did he live in Villa la Angostura (Argentina), in Chile, Colombia, or (as I once heard) Escondido, CA? I suppose we'll never know.

Except that the CIA has already been pretty thoroughly discredited long before now.

rather than of the CIA as a group.

Of course if they do have detained knowledge as to Hitler's possible post-war whereabouts, now would be a good time to come clean.

That said, we'll probably never know.

Remember that one? As I remember it, it was claimed that Obama was the product of an experiment by which his mother was impregnated with a vial of DNA extracted from one of the pharoahs' tombs.

What I once told a deplorable who mentioned this (it was quite popular during the 2012 campaign) is: "That's right - so don't mess with the Prez!"
