Truck Driver stopped for using red sports drink bottle in place of tail-light

A Colorado truck driver got a little creative when it came to dealing with a broken tail light — and a local police department took notice.
Police in the town of Longmont, located around 38 miles outside of Denver, took to Facebook on Tuesday to share the humorous story. An officer had pulled over the driver, who had used duct tape to fasten a red sports drink bottle into the spot reserved for his tail light.
“While we appreciate the ingenuity of this tail light, this is not a permanent solution. Working tail lights prevent accidents,” the Longmont Police Department wrote on Facebook.”If your tail lights are broken, please get them repaired.”
