Hillary's strategy reveals she understands that she already won

You might be wondering why Hillary hasn't been hitting back at Bernie while he goes full negative. The reason is that she knows the math shows she is going to win, the way the math showed it for Obama in 08. Thus, going negative against Bernie will only alienate his voters which she'll need in November. That's why you see her attacking Trump and Cruz lately instead of Bernie: she's acting like the nominee because essentially she already is.

Bernie knows that because of the math he has nothing to lose and may as well pull out all the stops and hope one of his Hail Mary passes works. The unfortunate result of his negative turn is that his supporters have gone on full attack against Hillary supporters, which, right now is irritating to Hillary supporters, but all they need to remember is that this thing is, arguably, already over.

Of course, if some crazy thing were to happen, like she was arrested (which anyone who follows the facts knows won't happen) that would cause Hillary to lose the big primaries coming up, Bernie has a chance. But those are fantasies right now.

This thing is playing out to its slow end. Be patient. In the end, as they say on Always Sunny, reason will prevail.

but she does not have that task ahead of her.

Hillary can take the high road tonight. The question will be how will Bernie debate. Will he talk about the issues or go negative.

I don't think any minds will be changed tonight except those who might be turned off by Bernie's desperation.

His followers already hate Hillary so he has them on his side by going negative but he will not convert Hillary supporters to his side.

Hillary doesn't have to do anything except continue to explain what she will accomplish as president. Bernie is the one who has to beat the incredible odds here

I expect a very hard attack on HRC tonight. What I hope to see is her not overreacting to his slings and arrows, but answer firmly with presidential aplomb.

questions that have arisen since Sanders started imploding last week.

If they brush it all aside and allow him to regurgitate his empty stump speech TPs, well, we'll know that their only concern is to keep the manufactured horse race going. If they actually ask him a few policy questions - as in, "you've had time to think about it since your interview with the NYDN. Would you like to take this opportunity to flesh out some of the details of your proposals and your plans to get things done in DC?" well, that would be interesting.

What are the chances they'll take that route? These are the people who asked Hillary during a debate what she would do were she indicted. Surely, they can ask BS a few questions about his policies.

Democratic nominee. This will play itself out. She is right to go after Trump and Cruz. I don't think there are very many Democrats or Independents who haven't already decided who they will vote for.

as well she should. Especially since he and his supporters are reduced to hurling insults. All we have to do is step back and watch. We expect this kind of behavior from Trump and it is a real shame it is coming from the Sanders camp. Kudos to Hillary and all her supporters. Staying above the fray!
