This has nothing to with politics, but the thought of this is unreal Giant Alligator Found on Florida

Florida Golf Course....

My brother lives in Florida...yikes I been there several times ....they are getting more and more of them..seen a lot there when visiting but not this big...

In a scene that could be ripped straight from a Jurassic Park movie, a damn-near dinosaur-sized alligator was spotted strolling the greens of a Florida golf course.

Charlie Helms, who filmed the enormous beast ambling near the third hole of Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Palmetto, Fl., posted the video to his Facebook page last Wednesday. He said he couldn’t believe what he saw.

I was stunned and silent,” Helms told ABC Action News over the phone. “I didn’t know if we were being punked or something.”

Eventually posted to Youtube by Golf.com courtesy of Helms, the video has made national news and garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

Helms and a friend estimated the gator was about 15 feet long. In the video, Helms speculates that the giant reptile is so big it could be “two guys in an alligator suit.”

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of 15-foot gators terrorizing Florida residents. Last month, a Florida farmer shot and killed a 15-foot, 800-pound alligator that had been eating his cows.

Before moving south I helped maintain and transport gators back south once their 'owners' dumped them. It is great seeing them in the wild.

The mosy interesting experience I've had was at a stop in the glades after a long stretch of no rain. Hundreds of gators were in this canal - the only one around that still had water - and the males were bellowing and fighting while the females were off to the side with their young. It was a natgeo experience.

But the more we build in their habitats the more we will see them... If you go to a canal, look down, and see a gator swimming toward you its likely that it has become used to being fed. Happens too often and creates a danger to both humans and gators.

Still, I love being able to see them!

You're more likely to meet a midwesterner than a native Floridian in a lot of stretches!

I have a couple of acres and work with tortoise rescue and rehab, and also have three dogs! It's actually pretty easy to keep property under control, particularly when you fence for animals anyway.

I can say from my own experience that it was a great decision for our family. We spend a ton of time outdoors! Beyond the reptiles, the bird life is a whole different story here too. We have many spoonbills and even sandhill cranes that visit our property. I'm still not used to seeing such large birds!

"Supposedly", alligators aren't all that fast on land but they CAN do a quick burst.
From what I've read they can run about 10 mph. But if that gator decided to come after you, and if you stumbled or tripped for a second, you'd be his dinner. NO way!!
yecch...

A lot of us don't leave this group to venture into the Dem-bashing slime pit that is so much of the rest of the site. Even though the Admins tried to fix it by taking GDP and the candidate groups off the front page, some Bernie supporters set up shop in LBN, GD, Good Reads, Videos and even places like the California Group.

and my sister's friends frequently find them in their swimming pool, at the bottom. In the shadows. Waiting.

Yeah, that sounds appealing.

But I do wonder who the Giant Gator voted for in the Florida Primary...
