Bernie's Apathy Toward African-Americans

think how trump can use this against bernie....

Rep John Lewis (well known civil rights activist in congress) "never saw" Sanders go to bat for civil rights issues while in Congress.....

Black activists in Vermont complain they were “invisible” to Bernie Sanders....

“I think Bernie tends to run away from racial and ethnic issues,” Carney concluded.

2. I see that you are posting a bunch of anti-Bernie stuff in this group

this morning.

It's really not necessary to point out how Trump or the Republicans can smear Sanders. He will not be the nominee, so it's a moot point.

New news... like his reaction to Hillary's speech is fine, but dragging up old articles is just counter-productive.

You can post all you want here ( I'm a host of the group by the way), but I want you to know that I find it counterproductive.

We won. Let's move to bashing Trump.

5. Most of the black activists supporting Bernie now are activists who are more against Obama than for

Bernie. Check out their backgrounds closely. You will find that they have been against Obama about one year less than the GOP Congress. They felt as though he was not black enough, and should have done more for blacks.
On the other hand, when they had a President who did more for them (Bill Clinton..check the record) they soon abandoned him and blamed him for the housing bubble burst because of vulture bankers and mortgage brokers. They blamed Clinton for the aftermath of the crime bill he signed even though many working, middle income blacks were crying out for something to be done to make their neighborhoods safe from the crime, killing, and drug thugs ruining their stable lives and destroying their neighborhoods.l So they blame the Clintons (both Bill and Hillary) for the way law enforcement all over the country abused the justice system and concentrated their efforts on locking up blacks and Hispanics for petty pot possession while whites were not even booked for the same level crimes. But I digress.

All this to say that many of the blacks and Hispanics you see supporting Bernie were basically on their own in coming to the Bernie campaign out of their angst against Obama and the Clintons. Bernie in no way actively sought their support and his original message was focused on white, working class and middle income folks. It really is a modern myth that Bernie began his campaign as a movement focused on helping minorities and women and the poor.

I was sure his handlers would fix it quickly because you stand no chance of the nomination without minorities in general. He never fixed it and he won't get the nomination.

Do support him. But the very vast majority of Blacks and minorities in general do not. Simply because he has never been present in the civil rights movement.
