"We don't listen to the campaigns, we just do the math"~John Lapinski-NBC Elections Chief

He was interviewed by Maddow tonight. He reminded me a lot of Nate Silver--just a nerdy numbers cruncher and statistics wonk.

He said that the spin coming from the respective camps is of no interest, and that the elections unit pays no attention.

JUST GIVE ME THE FACTS, MA'M.

But, this will never satisfy the conspiracy nuts and Hillary-Haters (TM), of course.

Why it would make any difference, they can't explain. Declaring the race over one day earlier than expected is like the end of the world.

The campaign had everything set up for a big blow out in Brooklyn tomorrow night, not this off-the-cuff announcement on a stump stage in CA.

All they see is some kind of idiotic conspiracy, when the race was already over. It was common knowledge that she had events set up for tomorrow night already - she certainly didn't want it to happen today.

I try to avoid those types in real life and have zero inclination to indulge them online.

Rachel pretty much agreed but then she is good with numbers and logic.
