The Primary Wasn’t ‘Rigged’ Against Bernie Sanders & Here are the Numbers to Prove It

I have never been anything remotely close to a conspiracy theorist. One thing that the Internet and social media have done very well is make conspiracy theories part of mainstream political discussions, but I’ve found the people who buy into them usually fall into one of three categories:

People who don’t like what reality is telling them, so they try to concoct some sort of “reasoning” behind why reality isn’t lining up with what they want to be real. (This can also be categorized as a form of cognitive dissonance.)

People who are losing and/or lost something and they’re now searching for any reason to delegitimize the winner and find an excuse for why they lost.

Emotionally irrational people/mentally unhinged.

This race has been fairly easy to predict based on two factors:
Caucus vs. Primary
White vs. Minority Population of the State

1. Hillary and her campaign have used the primary season as a warm-up. Look at the electoral map.

2. It was one hurdle they got over. They have a higher one to deal with now.

3. All these accusations are just an attempt to belittle her achievement.

She and her team organized the hell out of this race. The final coup de gras in CA must be particularly galling for her defeated opponent since he thought it was his by right.

7. For one thing, she didn't say the exact same thing at every whistle stop.

She laid out her platform, piece by piece. And she presented concrete plans for accomplishing things. And she gave downticket candidates and elected officials star billing at each event. She built a massive support group to defeat the Republicans.

That is one of the key reasons that the automatic delegates are important and are included with delegates. They have to feel they are part of the process.

concerns of the communities where she visited.

Building that "massive support group" took a lot of work with small groups, but ended up being more effective than huge rallies where people essentially anonymous.

She worked hard for every vote - every single one! She took nothing and no one for granted.

You hear more of what is important while in rallies they are just a few out of many. Touch is important.

One on one makes more of a lasting impression. It has been demonstrated time and time again that one on one people contact works better.

really has ever had a one-on-one discussion with anyone - save Jane perhaps.

He's usually too busy pontificating to listen to what others have to say and his tone-deafness is striking.

9. Something tells me the Sanders Campaign

was a disorganized mess, from the stories coming out now on campaign staffers saying two different things before the primary votes and blaming Sanders for most of the mistakes. Blaming on a rigged primary was a distraction from his failures and he needed to energize his base somehow.
