December 12, 2015 at 9:29 pm Bernie Sanders simply doesn’t know when to be gracious or how to be respectful of others, which in and of itself disqualifies him for the presidency. He could not accomplish one millionth of what President Obama has done and only knows how to carp and minimize the work of others. He’s an irritating, petulant curmudgeon ![]() Oh and Bonus from the President and his Team.. How US negotiators ensured landmark Paris climate deal was Republican-proof At 11.30pm Paris time, a small group of White House officials dashed into a temporary plywood hut in the exhibition hall where, a few hours earlier, a historic legal agreement to cut emissions causing climate change was secured. They were just in time to catch a live feed of Barack Obama declaring “a turning point for the world”. These were the officials who helped set the US negotiating position for the talks – or, perhaps more accurately, helped craft the deal according to US specifications in order to insulate Obama and the agreement from attacks. When it came to Republicans in Congress, they wanted the agreement to be bullet-proof. That was no easy feat in a negotiation over an immensely complicated challenge involving nearly 200 countries, and half a dozen rival negotiating blocs. “We met the moment,” Obama said in his address. The Paris agreement on its own would not end climate change, he said, but “this agreement will help delay or avoid some of the worst consequences of climate change, and will pave the way for even more progress, in successive stages, over the coming years”. The rest of the fascinating story.. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/13/climate-change-paris-deal-cop21-obama-administration-congress-republicans-environment?CMP=share_btn_tw Hillary's Group~Mahalo ![]() ![]() ![]()

1. Getting the leaders from almost 200 countries together to discuss climate issues is a win win.
Getting some agreements to control the climate affecting issues is a real beginning. Hillary had a very good statement, she is on target.

experience in the field of negotiations and her experience as President Obama's SOS.. she knows the many years and diligent focus that went into this.
It's not to be taken lightly.. it's a BFD as VP Biden would say.. and at least one writer is saying when he wrote about the President's accomplishment on the #PCCA.. http://www.democraticunderground.com/110231992 Thank you! |

5. Exacty Rose! There is no comparison.. Hillary's statement is as a future President who knows
what it takes to actually go through negotiations with all the countries represented and how she can build on that when she is POTUS.. and the other statement cavalierly says it's not good enough, basically.
Fortunately for the Planet it won't matter a bit whether he appreciates it or not. |

7. It's not enough.
That is simply a fact.
Sure, a poke in the eye is a lot better than a knife to the gut, but when we talk about climate change those aren't our choices. We've gone far beyond 'the poke in an eye' even making the top three options. We now need to decide if we're going to slow drastic change enough for technology to adapt or if we throw our hands up and say 'fuck it, we had a damn good time.' Sure, it's a great deal. The air will be a little cleaner, the water a little safer, but we're not addressing the real problems. There's too many of us and we like cheap things that make life easy or fun. We also LOVE cheap food, the wrong food. |

10. It's an excellent start 7 years in the making with all the 200 countries that have signed on..
Hillary made a very Presidential to be Statement that is inclusive and grateful for all the work that went into the #Paris Climate Change Agreement.. knowing full well that she will be building on it in her administration.
“The Paris agreement is testament to America’s ability to lead the world in building a clean energy future where no one is left out or left behind. 32. Here's a decent article that addresses why It didn't go farther
That hybrid legal structure was explicitly designed in response to the political reality in the United States. A deal that would have assigned legal requirements for countries to cut emissions at specific levels would need to go before the United States Senate for ratification. That language would have been dead on arrival in the Republican-controlled Senate, where many members question the established science of human-caused climate change, and still more wish to thwart Mr. Obama’s climate change agenda.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/13/world/europe/climate-change-accord-paris.html I also, in courtesy, suggest reading the agreement itself http://unfccc.int/resource/docs/2015/cop21/eng/l09r01.pdf |

He doesn't want to give credit to anyone else but himself.. when he's had 30 or whatever years and what has he done? I think we know what all the President has accomplished. What's his problem ? Thinks if he acknowledges the achievements.. it will help Hillary? Yeah it will but that would be the honorable thing to do.. instead he's running against Hillary and President Obama.. tearing them both down. good luck with that.
