Her name is Andrea Mitchell

It has been a running thread on these pages for many years to refer to her by her husband name.

I was glad to see several Hillary supporters standing up for this point. Someone (not me, I rarely alert) alerted but the jury, of course, let it stand

People can dislike her, but she has been an accomplished journalist before she married.

Yes, quietly, Hillary dropped the Rodham, but we all followed her battle, including when she finally gave in to the patriarchal attitude that was in Arkansas in the 80s, that still is in many parts of the country.

I still carry a slip of paper quoting a letter by Elizabeth Cady Stanton:

"I have very serious objections, dear Rebecca, to being called Henry. Ask our colored brethern if there is nothing in a name. Why are the slaves nameless unless they take that of their master?"

3. I think it's better to leave it alone, so that the actual misogyny can be seen, there

is so very much of it, hence wall the pre-emptive whining about misogyny. That thread really did shed light on the level of thinking that's going on here. It's sad when women also engage in misogyny.

6. She's been married to Alan Greenspan for less than 20 years and on her own for at least that long.

Andrea was a respected and successful television news reporter long before she was married to him. I don't always agree with her line of questioning, or her opinions, but to diminish her as just someones husband, and her reporting reflects his political positioning is just misogyny more typical of RW hacks.
