Independent reporting systems like the one Sanders’ campaign built are not uncommon. Clinton’s campaign is also preparing its own backup reporting system involving an app and telephone hotline component, according to a campaign aide.

Why didn't they build their own independent "voter" database system, instead of using the DNC database and then stealing data from Clinton (and then, remarkably, enjoying a 'surge' right after that....see, that 'suspicion' thing is a lotta fun when shoved on the other foot!).

but some people have themselves so worked up I don't think any amount of reality will pull them out of the bubble they've wrapped themselves in.

I love it when people are passionate about a candidate but it goes too far with some.

When I worked in the DC National HQ of the Kerry campaign, our IT director was on leave from his day job... as the personal computer guru for a famous billionaire whose garage startup was not named after a fruit that grows on trees. That was the first time I realized that you could donate people to campaigns. Much more valuable than mere money.

The best IT people are not wingnuts out to subvert the democratic process, Berniebots. They're donating their code to keep us from more 2000 and 2004 disasters.

when I heard about the new paranoia from the Sanders camp: Lowering expectations, just in case their god-man (gasp!) loses.

Of course a corporation is involved. To do IT on this scale, you have to have a lot of expertise and yes, money, behind you. But, if Bernie loses, it's all IT's fault!
