But this says it all!
When she was in high school, a woman only had two options for a career. You could teach or be a nurse. I decided to teach, she said. She got her degree and went on to teach for 24 years.
Now, the world holds so much more opportunity for women. But theres still much work to do.
On election night, if Hillary Clinton is elected the first woman president of the United States, you will see women cry, hug, and dance in the streets. You might even dance yourself.
And one day, if you live long enough, youll tell your great-grandchildren all about it. Theyll roll their eyes and say, You mean we never had a woman president before? Theyll wonder what the big deal was.
Because by then, we hope, it will seem like ancient history.

(31,170 posts)My grandmother and I used to talk a lot about the changes in her life, and how different her road was than mine. Though Hillary's gender isn't the reason for my support, I love the fact that women who have fought for everything that many of us take for granted, may live to see our first woman POTUS. I think she will be exceptional.

(30,058 posts)negative on Hillary, I wonder why they are not pushing his agenda, he will have to win on his own, riding Hillary's back does not give his abilities except for going negative on Hillary.

(5,648 posts)...that's not why I am supporting her. I'm supporting her as I did early in 2008 because I think she is person for the job. And I excited that this time around she is a much, much better candidate. She still tough as nails, but this time she is showing an attractive more personal side as well.
