Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumDailyKOS sets March 15th as the end of Hillary bashing:
So heres what happens on March 15:
No attacks on Hillary Clinton using right-wing tropes of sources. Shes had 30 years of bullshit flung at her from the Right, theres no need to have Daily Kos give them an assist.
Constructive criticism from the Left is allowed. Theres a difference between constructive and destructive criticism. Do I need to spell it out? Its the difference between We need to put pressure on her to do the right thing on TPP versus shes a sell-out corporatist whore oligarch. In general, if youre resorting to cheap sloganeering like oligarch or warmonger or neocon, you might want to reframe your argument in a more substantive, issue-focused and constructive matter. Again, Im not interested in furthering the Rights hate-fueled media machine. If thats what you want, might I suggest Free Republic?
Saying you wont vote, or will vote for Trump, or will vote for Jill Stein (or another Third Party) is not allowed. If thats how you feel, but have other places in which you can be constructive on the site, then keep your presidential feelings to yourself. Those of us who care about our country and its future are focused on victory. If you arent, then its a big internet, I suggest you find more hospitable grounds for your huffing, puffing, and stomping of feet.
If you are going to be pessimistic, you better support it. Theres a difference between Clinton cant beat Trump and Clinton cant beat Trump in Alabama. There is also a difference between the blanket Clinton cant beat Trump and Looking at the polling, Im worried that Clinton is falling behind Trump because X, Y, and Z. Obviously, that also applies to races and issues down the ballot, not just the presidential. If you are going to be a Debbie-Downer, you better have a damn good reason to justify your pessimism. Rank, unsupported pessimism is anathema to our data-driven, reality based culture.

I guess we should prepare for an onslaught of rejected kossacks in need of their daily 5 minutes of Hillary hate here at DU.

(5,044 posts)I think that Skinner and the admin team care deeply about this site and are likely to detox it once the nomination is locked. People need to vent, we all get that, however if in 2008 people were talking about our first potential black president the way they are talking about our potential first female president, it would not have been tolerated.
I have faith that admin will transform this site overnight once the nomination is locked, otherwise there will be a mass migration of people who stop using DU. It's not constructive, it's not fun.
Republicans strategy, time and time again is apathy. Why would DU allow its users to do the same?

(12,448 posts)Apparently the admins have chosen to ignore the whole thing. I'm not going to speculate as to why, but it's true that little or nothing is done.

Well, neither do I.
I do agree with: "If thats what you want, might I suggest Free Republic?"
And this is why - any 5 comments and we are out!
We need the transition. Democrats will return and replace those others.
We got an election in November!

(31,230 posts)former status. I don't mind supporting causes that I'm passionate about, I always have, but what's happened here over the past few months, has disturbed me to no end. I've seen many good DU'ers silenced, as they have been alert stalked out of existence, especially AA posters.
When these things change, I hope those posters will be allowed to return, and won't face the same kind of abuse.

(18,623 posts)...in reference to Hillary bashing:
It's gotten ridiculous here to the point that I suspect if I just posted a title as "Hillary is an ugly bitch" I'd get a hundred recs before the thread was rightly locked.
Six months ago I was still undecided, but the sheer hatred of Clinton (all three of them) drove me squarely into her camp. I don't want anyone to think I'm associated with such vile behavior against a Democrat. Good for Kos, it's about time.
On edit:
There's already a post on the Greatest Threads Page about how terrible this move by Kos is. He'll be compared to a Nazi soon. They miss the bigger point that Kos is officially naming Hillary the eventual winner. I bet that berns.

It may not be locked. Some horrible posts have been left standing with hundeds of recs despite multiple alerts and appeals to admins.
