Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumReport on my Maine caucus today.
Just finished. A town of about 9000 people. HIGHER overall turnout than 2008 and the highest turnout we have had on record in our town. That is including absentee ballots though, so live turnout was a bit less than 2008.
Have to say Bernie is going to win Maine by a significant margin because it is his demographics and format, and it is virtually a sister state to Vermont much like NH. Hillary had twice as many absentee ballots, but Bernie had far more live voters. Our town gets 22 delegates to the state convention on May 6th. Bernie won 15, and Hillary 7. I am pleased to be a delegate for Hillary.
Everyone was very polite to each another, be they for Bernie or Hillary, and our caucus was well-prepared and went off quite smoothly. It was a good day.
Now, Hillary will win Michigan on Tuesday, and then OH, IL, FL, and NC in another week, and that will be IT. DONE. (It already is done, really, but today Bernie gets a last hurrah up here in the Moose and Lobster Capital of the World.
