An interesting view of the Michigan debate...

http://correctrecord.org/bad-night-for-bernie/

One fact is clear from this latest debate: Bernie Sanders had a bad night. He was called out for his tone, defensive on guns, disastrous on race, and so much more. Between offensive finger wags and rude shushes, Sanders reverted to out-dated stereotypes, answered questions with his unrelated “billionaires” line, and echoed NRA talking points. Not a good night for Sanders.

Matt McDermott ?@mattmfm: This is nearly Rick Lazio level of bad for Bernie Sanders. He needs a deep breath. [3/6/16, 8:31 p.m. EDT]

Chris Cillizza @TheFix: That Sanders answer on race was a total disaster. Won’t matter much because of the dynamic of the race. But, still, total disaster. [3/6/16, 9:33 p.m. EDT]

Meredith Shiner @meredithshiner: How is it possible that Bernie has gotten worse on gun answers? [3/6/16, 9:00 p.m. EDT]

Jonathan Allen ?@jonallendc: Sanders is incapable of talking about education for children. His answer to teacher question is about free college tuition. Wow. [3/6/16, 9:33 p.m. EDT]

Molly Ball ?@mollyesque : Until I heard Bernie tonight, I had no idea the Flint crisis was the fault of Wall Street & the military industrial complex. [3/6/16, 8:15 p.m. EDT]

expressions, finger wagging and general demeanor. He was rude, dismissive and annoying. Towards the end of the debate he made these arm movements like he was ready to take off!

He was visually worse than Nixon compared to JFK in their debate.

As far as substance, he floundered on many issues, too many to list. Definitely his worst debate.

And he gives Wall Street, ask about gun policies we get answers like Hillary gave speeches on Wall Street, Hillary has super PACs. Would all issues be answered by President Sanders be the same answers. The inability to get away from these standard answers is a problem.

who decided he'd walk across the stage during their Senatorial debate. In the end the GOP still couldn't get him elected.

I was stunned watching him and listening to his responses. He veered back to his talking points as often as possible instead of properly answering questions put to him. I wonder why anyone goes to listen to him at rallies. He always says the same things.
One exception this time, though: he tried to play offense and put Clinton on defense. It was a disaster. He tried to control the whole debate and wound up looking like a complete madman.
